Opened by Princess Victoria (just before she became Queen) in 1833, The Royal Pier has seen many facelifts and changes since it was built.

The pier re-opened in August 2008, Kuti’s Royal Pier is now home to the Royal Thai Pier on the ground floor and the Gatehouse Grill on the first floor, a licensed venue for wedding and civil ceremonies.
